Its the story of any of the monarchs or power hungry leaders in England or anywhere in the world for that matter.. Born into a title with a ton of privelidge, they then take from everyone around them like parasites and leeches, and do everything in their power to keep that privelidged position. They turn to religion when it helps to keep them in power, and chuck a deaf ear when it no longer suits .And in the end it all means nothing, all that stealing and lying and killing and controlling, because in the end you are worm food like eveyone else, and you can't take any of it with you.
A tiny little island with a tiny little mind
I wouldn't dig too deep you might not like just what you find
A patch of earth, beneath a patch of sky.
Rich from stealing , centuries ago he is the king,
He's ageless and he's faceless he's the king of everything
Its a patch of earth, beneath a patch of sky.
ch) And when the beggars come, he prays for his advisors
And when the food is low he prays to save his store
And when the darkness comes he prays for his salvation
And when salvation comes he isn't praying any more.
v2) And now he starts to panic when he has his share to pay
The war torn and the needy are quite simply turned away
from his patch of earth, beneath his patch of sky.
And finally a coffin with his riches all around,
he's right back where he started in the deep dark underground,
in his patch of earth , beneath his patch of sky.
